Experience a unique ride on the festively glowing train of the Schafberg cog railway — not only children's eyes will light up with joy.


During the Advent season, the festively decorated train of the Schafberg cog railway runs again from 21 November to 21 December 2025 (Wednesday to Sunday), and from 26 December  2025 to 6 January 2026 (daily) to the Schafbergalm station at 1,364 meters above sea level. Once at the Schafbergalm, you can enjoy breathtaking views over the wintry Salzkammergut landscape. A festively decorated train with cozy seating invites you to relax and enjoy warm drinks and delicious treats.
